HELP for Audi 200T '89
Folks, posted a query on 26.02.03 about not being able to start my Audi, and keep it running - if there are any ideas out there, please assist, as the mechanic and I have perused all the books on K-Tronic injection, and tried all we can think of, and still no go.

Has the mechanic done a fuel pressure check off the inlet to the fuel distributor?
I know you said you weren't getting fuel to the injectors, but if there isn't sufficient pressure to the fuel distributor, mebbe that has something to do with it.
Who was it that had a problem on the Q list that finally found it was a blockage or problem with the return line? I can't remember, you may want to do a Google search of Audifans.com.
Keep the wife happy is all I'm gonna say...

First off check the fuel pump is it working? If it is working remove the supply line to the fuel filter and attached a hose to the fuel line and the other end to a jar to catch the gasoline, (crank the engine). Are you getting fuel (don't smoke or have an open flame when doing this test).
Replace the line if you are getting fuel.
Next remove an injector and place it in a glass jar, remove the high tension wire from the coil to the distributor (don't want to have the car starting on you). Now crank the engine, are you getting fuel at this point? Is the injector opening?
Are you spraying starting fluid to get the car started?

Re: Has the mechanic done a fuel pressure check off the inlet to the fuel distributor?
If you can varify movement of the vaccuum plate, I would switch my attention to fuel supply. The pump and line is always suspect. For those members in cold climates, bring it inside. Ice in the fuel line will disable you.
