I worked on the driver's door of my son's 5000 last weekend and now it won't open. I adjusted the plastic tip connecting door handle to door latch to make it easier to open the door. It worked fine. He locked the door and now it won't un-lock. All of the other doors open fine and if I pull the door lock pin up or down, the other doors lock and unlock with it. When I unlock the door and pull on the door opening latch from inside or outside the lock pin is pulled down into the locked position.
Any suggestions for getting the door open so I can fix this? It appears that one of the plastic tips may have gotten caught some how and are causing this issue.
The car is an 87 5000s 2wd non-turbo.
Thanks!
Pete
