When starting my V8Q, i have to give it gas 4 times out of 5 to get it started, otherwise it will just crank, sound like it is gonna start, so i let go of the key and then it doesnt start... Even when the engine warms up it does this, though not as bad as i can get it start without giving it gas...
Then when it does start, it revs up and then almost all the way down to 0 again unless i give it a little gas to keep it above 1000 for about a second or two.
Is this normal or just because its an Audi?

Well here is the next obvious question for me until i get my hands on a manual.
Where and how can i blink the codes, and where is a diamgram showing what they mean?
Also i just bought the car from someone who is reliant on others to do work for the car, such as professionals etc...i doubt the FPR was ever brought up. So if the FPR replacement is recommended is it easy to do?

Everyone here knows about http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/
Remove the airbox and you will see the FPR on the passenger side. Two bolts and a vacuum hose and the fpr is ready to be replaced.

http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/</a

This happened to me (1990 100) recently. I just put some injector cleaner through it and never had the problem again.
You could also take it somewhere and have the injectors flushed (about 70 dollars) and this is the most effective way of cleaning them out.
I have found that most problems with audis have cheap solutions if you know where to look.
