Default Hesitation accelarating from idle after changing injectors?

i just changed my injectors the other day, and finished putting everything together today. went to start her, and she did not want to run at first. eventually she did, but with a slight miss it seemed. after letting it run for a good twenty minutes it seemed to smooth out, but still had a hesitation whenever i'd hit the gas.... any ideas?

my project page for this

Default Re: Hesitation accelarating from idle after changing injectors?

last time i had a hesitation, i chased the problem around the mulberry bush back to a clogged fuel filter and fouled plugs. check out your fuel filter, run the car for like, 100 miles or so, and check out the plugs. should be a golden brownish color. also, make sure shes got plenty of air to make up for the fuel. umm... you can try an injector cleaner too, sometimes little deposits from the factory can get lodged in the injectors and cause problems. start with basics, lemme know how it goes.

Default Pulled them, they look fine. Jim couldn't see anything really wrong, and recommended I check all the

basic settings on the fuel distributor and check the plunger for wear

Default Dave-start simple before you go messing with the fuel distributor. What did you do???

You pulled injectors, lines, o-rings, seals, etc. It is entirely possible some crud got in injectors/fuel/lines, etc. Run some Techron through your fuel system. Maybe even two tanks full. Make sure your injector o-rings are sealed properly into the inserts. And, as said previously change that gas filter.

When I had a partially clogged injector, mine ran just like yours FWIW...

Default I ran a tank of cleaner through her at 100mph for a good ways. She's running like a dream now

although I do still wanna check out the plunger, that's been on my list for a while now. Oh and I got a "new" O2 sensor as well, so thats going in too
