the combo switch is all the switch levers that you have under the steering wheel. It is very typical to have the high beam switch break, mine did a few years ago.
To replace you will need a new or new from a wrecking yard combo switch. Pry off the cover in the middle of the steering wheel, use a 24MM socket to remove the steering wheel, it just pulls off. Remove combo switch, disconnect two wiring connectors. You will need to remove the paneling under the dash to get at the flat wiring connectors. Not a bad job, kind of a no brainer. Take you about 45 minutes to do. Good luck. Rooster

As long as you have experienced the typical failure caused by too much power going through the switch you might want to avoid this happening again...
Search the history for information on retrofitting relays for the headlights. The switch will then only carry the current to operate the relay triggers.
BTDT and added the relays on current 100 to avoid this problem.

My last combo switch would stay on highbeam as well. Just make sure it's not the low+high position!!! which is used to alert drivers to turn off they're high beams. having both the highs and lows on at the same time, will eventuall cause the bulbs to blow. I know because it happened to me. Not fun being stuck out in the middle of nowhere at night with no headlights!
