I wonder for a car such as V8 or Audi200, How much does it cost ? What is the cheapest option available ? Thanks .

I had a V8 shipped from Eugene, Oregon to Boston in 1997 and it cost around $800 on a open carrier. I just shopped around using the internet to find the best price. They delivered the car to a shopping center right around the corner from my house because I lived on a small, narrow street that made it impossible to drive the trator trailer on.

Moving cars around the country is one of my job duties. Prices can range from $800 to $3000. Factors include open vs. closed carrier and timeframe (short notice obviously being more expensive). The pick-up and drop-off locations also count (close proximity to large cities cost less, especially if the carrier has one or more drops or pick-ups nearby). Here are some companies to contact: MPG Transport (800-252-7733), Reliable Carriers (reliable-carriers.com), Pilot Transport (send email with details of your move - addresses, date of move, etc. - to pilotbid@unitedroad.com), Intercity (800-221-3936), Waggoners Trucking (www.waggonerstrucking.com), and Bavarian Motor Transport (800-290-8704 or 800-448-4285). I've used all but Waggoners. FYI - if you ever need an east coast move, Bavarian can sometimes truck a car up or down the coast for $450. This is because as the dedicated carrier for BMW, they are in SC a lot to pick up and drop cars and often strike great deals to completely fill their trucks. Hope this helps.

whatever you do, make sure it's not a salty northeast rust bucket.
Shipping west to east is a better proposition.
My car has been decent and I've tried to keep it clean in the salty months, but you can't avoid the salt.

depending where exactly the trip is to/from.
I drove from Halifax to Calgary in about that time. It's possible to do it quicker, but one may stop and let the people cross the road while daydreaming, after about 40 hours non-stop. I wouldn't want to do that again.
