Default I can hear working engine in my car speakers.......?

Who can solve this problem?
When I start the car (Audi 5000 KZ engine) I can hear the working engine in the speakers irrespective of the music from radio or cassette. The sound varies exactly the same like rotary speed of engine. I tried to install various filters but without any success.
It is not also an alternator, high voltage cables and not distributor cap.
Any suggestions? ? coil?

And one more question.
Where is located the crank position sensor?

Thanks in advance for help.

Default I had that kind of noise on a radio install on my old mustang.....

I relocated and soldiered the ground wire further from the engine. Cured my problem, but never heard of that in an Audi, so I'm not sure if it will work. Worth a try.

Default I have the same problem, and have had it for years..........

tried a noise suppressor on the radio power line, that didn't help. I changed radios, that didn't help. I have rf shields on my plug wires, if it's the metal cap shields that fit over the sparkplug. I recently replaced the alternator, that didn't help. I suspect that it could be something with the antenna, maybe it needs a better ground? ..........Rooster

Default I suppose it is a coil.....

Yes it is the shielded wire but like I wrote before I can hear the noises even if I listen the cassette player (music from cassete).
The same cassette player I used in my old car and everything was great.
So, the last thing I haven't check yet is a coil. I suppose that the high voltage from the output of the coil induce onto 12V circuit. If yes, it will not be easy to filter it.
I don't have another one to replace it, new one is too expensive and I'am not sure it would be help.

Default Wrong plug wires? Audi plug wires for 5cyl w/radio should have a 2k ohm resistance I think.

There are also 0 ohm wires, which will cause the inducted noise.

No crank position sensor on your car. It uses a 5 window hall effect sensor at the distributor. Only the 10vt's from '85 or so, and all 20v 5cyl's have crank position sensors.

Default Relocate the radio ground first, or add a ground between the radio "chassis" and the car.

Several Blapunkts have a grounding tab that you need to attach to ground on the vehicle.

Default Had the same problem and bad AM reception - fix >>>

The AM antenna amp in the drivers side C pillar had a poor connection for power (the red wire).

Pop or C pillar trim from the top (only a few inches) Reach in and move the red wire connector. Noise gone.

On a prev type 44 I had ignition noise that was caused by the HV wire from coil to the distributor starting to burn off in the coil. Replaced wire and noise gone.
