Default Ignition wiring

About a week ago, the ignition cylinder lock started to act up. I'd have to finesse it a certain way to start the car. Always hard, and always pushed in and up. Now it will not start at all. I had this same problem with my Altima, and i just spliced a couple wires and was done with it. Never another problem. The wiring looks almost identical to my Nissan, so im sure it can be done here too. Problem is, where i saw the broken wire in the Nissan, i see no broken wire in the Audi, thus i dont know which wire is faulty/if its even a wire.

I'd prefer not to get raped by a German tech. Any suggestions? Wiring diagram? I would really appreciate it, as im trying to sell this car as it is.

Thanks!

what happens is in the ign cyl the end of the rod breaks off and can't actuate the ign switch anymore, it's not a broken wire usually. you can either replace the ign cylinder (pain in the freakin ***), wire in a push button start in conjunction with the stock switch, or do what I did...

I broke the mounting tabs off of the switch, and glued it back into the cylinder a couple degrees off, worked for a while till the glue broke down, at which point I just glued it back in...

Thank you very much. I'll get to it tomorrow and let you know how it works out. I appreciate it.
