In place of those 4 tabs to the left of the middle air vent I want to put 2 VDO gauges, oil pressure and volts. Most likely the same gauges from a 4K. I just have a question about the sending unit. Can I put the sending unit for the oil pressure in place of one of the sensors that gives the idiot warning? If so, which one low or high? And how would I prevent it from giving me a warning? Id like to know in advanced before I get it all together.
Thanks !

The idoit light usually comes on when the pressure drops below 10psi. Pull the wire and when the idiot light stays on then you know that you have the right sender. Why not use a tee connection and have both idiot light and pressure gauge at the same time. This is assuming that you will use a mechanical pressure gauge verse and electrical which requires a sending unit.

There are two more sensors on the side of the block, one is for the oil pressure guage and the other i think is for the warning. the one on the front of the oil pump is the temperature.

. . . other than fuel level and coolant temperature, which were part of the instrument cluster. I guess that these were plain vanilla model 4000s.
Did a special 4000 model include the oil pressure and voltage gauges? Which one, please?
