Instrument panel lights acting up

My '91 200 turbo has an intermittent instrument panel problem where the turn signal indicators and high beam indicator are on whenever the lights are switched on. The turn signals flash off then on when I signal, and the high beam flashes also. When the problem is happening, I lose the middle back-lighting too. When it isn't the dash is perfectly lit. Any suggestions?

the existing ground wire at the headlight bulb/socket. Probably a brown colored wire.

I had trouble with the dash lights when I had bad connections in the joint going to the trunk lid, all I can guess is they routed the dash lamp grounds though it. Anyway, like the drivers door the wires get brittle and break.

Same problem - I have a 1990 Audi 100 and am having the exact same problem. My local repair shop thought it was a problem with a 'Printed Circuit Board' and claimed it would be several hundred dollars to repair. Did you get the problem resolved and if so, how?

Did you ever get this resolved. My son's 91 200 has basically the same problem, with the lights on the turn signal indicators and high beam indicator glow (not full brightness) and the high beam idicator goes out when high beams are switched on. The high beam 'flash' works fine. Any input would be appreciated
