Default Leaky intercooler... not at end caps... fixable or toast?

I've got a bit of a boost leak at the intercooler when pressure applied - its not at the end cap but rather in a few inches that I can feel air escaping when pressurized... it doesn't look damaged except for some really minor fin bending.

Is there anything I could do to seal up this part of the intercooler or do I pretty much need to replace it?

Also, any suggestion as to what I can ram into the hoses on the intercooler to pressure test it directly?

Default and do what with it? pour it over the suspected area so that it seeps into the fins?

will that cause any problems?

Default Try racquet *****. You can have the intercooler re-cored...

And have them weld on metal end-caps while they're at it.

Default Forgot to mention - its a 20v... already have metal end caps. Great idea on the racquetballs, though

I've got to have 100 of them around my apartment if I just go look for them.

Too bad the 20v intercoolers aren't quite so cheap...

Any idea on the cost of building an aftermarket guy?

Also, would it be possible to seal up my current holes with JB weld as was previously suggested? I'm a little short on cash right now.

Default Yeah, those single-pass IC's are not cheap.

Not sure about using JB weld in that manner. I would check with a few local radiator shops about having it re-cored. Not sure what it will cost, but likely cheaper than a replacement IC.

Default your SPIC 200 20v intercooler has plastic endtanks. if not, someone already re-cored

or re-endtanked it.
