Default Let's compare Audi "to do" lists... <edit...#2. >

FrankenAudi:

- new crank gear and pulley stack (assembled & awaiting install)
- realign timing
- pray for no damage

FrankenVagen:
- install yet another crank ref pin
- install new water pump and t-belt
- repair column switches with rear wiper button and computer controls
- door hinge wiring

V8:
- fix recirc flap spring (done)
- fix fuel leak (done)
- empty stinking ashtray (done)
- fix hood release cable and remove flashlight that is wedged under hood (done)
- change T-belt and other associated jellybeans.
- repair smokey column wiper switches and reinstall
- door hinge wiring
- trunk hinge wiring
- driver's side door lock investigation
- possibly replace UFOs with G60s for now.

V8#2:
- track down smokey electicals in the rear seat area.

That's just the get it running stuff. Then there is the boost the snot out of it stuff...

- rebuild spare motor with 40mm valve head and MC2 cam using the Rs2 replica turbo.
- Put the 321mm rotors and a set of Brembos on the V8.
- decode the V8 chips and see if the timing maps can be tweaked there too... perhaps see if ammendments can be made to accomodate MAP sensors for twin turbocharging.
- twin turbocharge the V8

I'm sure there is more....

Default My short list...

Sell 92 100 CS and buy late nineties A6 avant quattro.

Sell 86 5K and buy later model type 44 in good shape.

Spend time in the spring getting my boat ready to launch instead of working on Audis.

Although only one Audi, the list is long and distiguished for my turbo uber bitch.
:P

1. discover and fix cause of front left brake not releasing.
2. replace cracked radiator.
3. replace driver's headlamp assembly.
4. replace leaking metal fuel line.
5. unstick left rear caliper parking brake cam. (again!)
6. timing belt and assorted gummy bears.
7. replace remaining rear brake hose and metal brake line along rear subframe.
8. replace burned out foglamp bulb due to water leakage.
9. headliner fell down!
10. front end alignment.
11. replace wiper motor.
12. replace drive shaft support bearing. UGH!
13. fix misaligned shifter mechanism caused by mechanic during clutch replacement.
14. locate odd vibration at 3k+ rpms due to clutch replacement also.
15. replace passenger side engine mount.
16. complete misc. HVAC and stereo mods/fixes.
17. fix cruise control.
18. treat myself to the luxury of more boost, finally.
19. left rear window regulator replacement, right rear now also acting up!
20. pending item, 'cause it's an Audi.

Oh yeah, fix and paint body.

Default The front hoses were replaced with new ones in 2004.

The carrier bracket pins are free, and I replaced the master cylinder. The pistons retracted too when I loosened the bleed nipple and pryed the caliper with a long screwdriver.
I'm worried I may need to replace the ABS servo.
