What is the car model? I have R&R fuel pumps w/o a tool. The only difficult part was the stupid lid. On that I used a brass drift and a hammer, it just screws off cc. 89-200TQ and a 90 100. AIRC the rest is cake, it sits on three rubber adapters. Shock mounts, and can only go in one way.

He has the more recent (1990 V8, 1991 200 with 20 valve, etc.) plastic basket that twists into a larger plastic basket. The tool he's talking about is the one in the picture from Scott Mockrey's resourceful website.
