Default my "OK" is not longer ok...

This started recently, maybe a week after pulling out and recharging the battery. What happens is when I start up, the "OK" light started to have a few pixels (for lack of a better word) filled in solid that would flicker. And from there it has been getting worse. Now, all i get instead of "OK" is 4 horizontal lines, more or less evenly-spaced.

Has anyone seen this behavior before? I think it started when I was a combination of low on gas, and very low on CHF, which has now been topped of (man, what a difference it made in steering! I bought it used with the fluid about an inch below the "min" line).

I don't know if I should reset the computer, or how to, besides pulling the battery. It's an '89 100.

Default SJM AutoTech

Check this site. I would start by just using the contact cleaner. If that doesn't work, try the solder.

Changes in the weather sometimes brings this issue out.

http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/elec.html#contact</a

Default Pull the battery, and if that doesn't work...

...you may have an issue with the OK display itself. The symptoms you are describing sound like weak connections in the display unit, where the "screen" solders to the circuit board. Audis are famous for all kinds of bad solder issues.
