Default My least-favorite Type44 repair . .

Did my fuel filter today finally, I hate doing those! The rubber isolator mount always breaks (of course), luckily I had a spare lying around and was able to replace it once I got the old one off.

Otherwise it went smooth - I had all new washers (including the rubberized ones or whatever they're called), and while it did leak a DROP at first, one more tighten and it was OK. Then I let it run while I cleaned up my tools, still no leaks. So I took it for a ten minute drive, and it still didn't leak. I'll check it over the next few days to be safe. You know, just to make sure my rubber isolator is holding .

Least favorite repair would be the steering rack, not the fuel filter. Go change a fuel filter on a B1-B4 chassis car ;-)

I have to agree with Eric any of the b chassis cars suck ***** to change the filter on. Little tip on the t-44 filter washers you can get ones for a classic saab 900 that have the orings in them for pretty cheap.

I've been fortunate enough not to have to swap a rack yet, pulled one off a parts car but that's different . It's not that the filter is hard, it just annoys me I guess . .

Where is the filter on the B-cars?

Clutch isn't that bad once you've done one. I'd say my least favorite thing would be anything involving pentosin well that and interior work not a fan prefer to work on the mechanical bits.

I don't mind interior work as long as parts are intact. It's when old plastic starts cracking that things get ugly . .

Clutch job isn't aweful. Mine took some time because I pulled the engine to replace all the gaskets/seals/etc.

Well, I'll change a hundred fuel filters before I change a clutch again
