I actually bought an O2 sensor wrench quite awhile ago, which is basically a super-beefy crowsfoot . Not sure if I'll have time to get to the O2 this weekend, but I'd like to get that done and change the gear oil too (got some Swepco to go in the tranny).

Always something, but I love these cars . .

For the O2 sensor, a crowfoot makes it into a easy job. I forget what size it is though.

Wow, easiest O2 sensor I've done! Hardest part was pulling the connector off that corroded bracket.

Fuel mileage is back, nice!

Default tough repairs

-air filter... uggghhh- seems different every time i do it.
-O2 sensor... even with a huge proper socket that thing doesn't want to come out
-adjusting the emergency brake cables-that nut is seize so bad its never going to move now
-blower motor -very time consuming. i didn't bother doing the heater core and after 315kms it is still the original
-let someone else do the throw-out bearing
-car has never (touch wood) needed a rack or fuel pump.

Lots of things on the 5k are a pita, but for some reason my top two were 1)the blower motor/heater core and 2)the air filter after I put in the E-codes, they stick so far back that on top of the usual hassle of squeezing the box out like its one of those mind trip puzzles, I gotta undo the trim/grill and unbolt the p/s headlight. Not a huge deal mind you, but just irritates me for some reason, just shouldnt take that freakin long to change an air filter !
