Default Need help with my V8 Q !

My 1990 V8 is in trouble again! The car does not go faster than 40 mph, fuel consumption is through the roof, there is a strong smell of gasoline coming from the exaust. Feels like cylinders are misfiring.
Things I changed so far: New Fuel pressure regulator, new oxygen sensor. Fuel Filter has been changed 2 years ago. None of these changes made any difference. Please Help!

Default Basics.. We'll need the CURRENT Codes.

But I'll suspect clogged cats. and now (again) you have trashed that "new" O2 Sensor.

But the cause of the problem might be leaking injectors. (the other two items are a RESULT of the injectors).

Also pull the plugs, what so they look like.. fouled?

Pull the oil dipstick, quickly walk away from the car.. smell the oil.. do you smell fuel?

Thanks Scott, there are no cats in a car, it's straight pipe. I will try to smell the oil tomorrow, if it smells like fuel what does it mean? I will pull the plugs and see how they look like.

If the oil smells like fuel, then you are soaking the cylinder with raw fuel (pretty much a given then for leaky injectors).

The fuel is washing down the cylinder past the rings into the oil.

Also codes!.. The ECU will tell you which injector is bad (faulty) not leaking thou.

Did you get the OEM O2 sensor or a generic? If it isn't an OEM was it a BOSCH sensor?

some other things that may help are checking maf, isv, distributor rotors, distributor caps, hall sender and coolant temp sensor. your car is obviously running rich as donald trump.

It was a 4 wire oxygen sensor, but I am afraid it's not my problem. I will test the car tomorrow and then hook it up for codes. I will let you guys know of the outcome. Thank you!
Leaking injector certanly make sense now, because I am literally blowing by gas, consumption is like a 747 boenig not a car!
