I've got a 89 200Qt and I just put in a new clutch and psi plate....also replaced both the slave and master cylinders.....well the first time I went to push in the clutch it felt hard as a rock, and the clutch wouldn't release... and stupidly I pushed it a couple more times to try and get it to release...and well to make a long story short the pedal broke....I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why the pedal was so hard....don't wanna put a new pedal in and break that one too......
Thanks for the help

There is a front and a back.
Also did you make sure that the throwout bearing moved along the shaft without binding??
The clutch slave pushes on the clutch fork which moves the throwout bearing which pushes against the fingers on the pressure plate. Any one of these not installed correctly can cause the problems you described.
