Default no air for heat

I replaced my blower motor in 2007 but the fan has just stopped working. makes no difference if I press defrost, econ, auto, hi, lo.

I'm guessing it's the fan control unit under the rain cover, but is there a way to test the one I have?

are these available new or is used the only way to go?

car is sidelined until I can fix it.

It's too cold for me, I must be old now.

Default any cross references for GM part?

Blower control unit

This part is a hard to find and fairly expensive new.

I'm not sure if I would trust a used one if it's a wear item.
