Default well with a rebuilt head your off to a good start.....

as for the turbo, I'd find out what type it is, normally the car came with a K26 turbo, for a cheap swap you can change to the slightly smaller K24 for a quicker spool up, but you lose a little on the top end. Swap to a single pass intercooler, easy swap is from a 20v model, QLCC chip is a good bang for your buck chip upgrade.
Free flowing exhaust too to start. HTH.

chip and exhaust simple and effective ways to increase performance, do that first see if that satisfies you then go from there.

check out 2bennett.com i had very good success with them

Default I disagree

The K24 is absolutely an upgrade... but you shouldnt be losing power "up top" The K24 is efficient to a point that you would need more fuel then anything CIS could produce (barring you being named Toxcheap, Boxerfan, or the like)

As for the rest, I totally agree. Can't beat a QLCC, exhaust is good and the SPIC is sometihng I'll be installing on my EFI car in the next 2 weeks (hopefully)

Best of Luck.

Default I agree with Twisted....

Look at the turbo maps. The k24 is vastly superior for boost levels you'll see until extra boost is added. In fact, I think even when you start to up the boost it will still be better than the k26

Treehunter has dibs on my k24, but if he passes on it you can have it for $250.

Default problem

i have to actually take possession of the 87 first then see what it really has under the hood before i can buy a k24.
