Folks, I'm dreading another new england winter where the nose of my somewhat nice looking 91 V8Q is going to get pelted with sand yet again. Does anyone know (or have ) where I can get a nose bra for an old V8Q ?? I have scoured the internet and so far been quite unsuccessful. Thanks in advance for your help -

I personally hate clear bra's, and if your car is pearl white, don't even consider it. The newer film has got A LOT better, but the fade to yellow is pretty much going to happen at some point.
Just pull off the hood piece everytime you do a car wash, or get a ton of snow / water on the car. Wax the hood like crazy twice a year and you'll be fine. Darker colored cars (blacks, greens, etc) will show scuff marks, but I have yet to be able to not pull them out with a good carnuba. Damaged paint as a result of bra's come from folks who never remove them or leave them on a water soaked car. The heat of the hood plus condensation that cannot fully dry will actually eat through the paint and create a cloud that generally isn't fixable.
Just my two sense from having messed with them for 15 years.. ;-)
Good luck!<ul><li><a href="http://www.colgancustom.com">http://www.colgancustom.com</a</li></ul>

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. The front of my poor old V8Q is really beat to sh*t from the new england winters and a 150 mile per day commute on the lovely connecticut highways. Thanks for your help -

The old school bra's hide alot of junk too, can be a win / win if the front of your car is beat up. I have a 11/92 date stamped Colgan for the S4 that still looks like new as I use it less often, but my A4 wear's one daily and it's getting ready for a replacement (mesh screens go first), but it's been on the car since new (99.5).. They make a decent product..

the adhesive works like a really thick wax - fills in some of the nicks. you'll want to touch up any big chips at least a week beforehand though.
