Found a very nice looking 1991 V8 Quattro in Europe with 3.6L engine and auto tranny. Speedo shows only 140000km. I'd like to believe it's all original but how hard is it to roll back the spedo on this car? Is there a way to check for tampering?
Thanks!

I have had two of these and both stopped at about 135K.
Fix is expensive though, so if yours is working it may be original.

The 1990 V8s had a rash of defective odometers that were replaced by Audi. Look on the door jamb for a replacement sticker that gives the date of replacement and the miles on the original. Not sure if the 1991's had the same problem.
If that doesn't work, ask you local Audi dealer's service department to look up the records of your car using the VIN.
Good luck!
