Default Oil Pan

I need to replace my oil pan on my Audi 100 2.3L. It is completely rusted out and beginning to leak on my new paved driveway. The wife is going to kill me!!

Does it remove easily or do other parts have to take off to gain access. Any one know what this oil pan is worth?

I would welcome any others comments as well.

I'm not sure if it's the same as the MC, but I do know that you will have to pull the subframe, and that sucks.

Jack the car up and place it on jack stands. Support the subframe with the jack and remove the bolts. Lower the subframe. You do not have to remove the subframe completely. You should now be able to access all the bolts holding the oil pan.

Use a taper drift to align the bolt holes when raising the subfame.

Default Re: Oil Pan...and as an aside...

insert bolts by hand to make sure they are seated properly, I know of which I speak, it is easy to cross thread the subframe bolts...BTDT...one of mine now has a nut attached.

HTH

Cheers
