I've been getting the oil warning symbol and chime in the autocheck screen every time I hit 3000rpm. The oil pressure on the guage looks fine, even changed oil and filter, still the same. It does it whether cold or warm and always goes off right at 3000rpm. I believe there are 2 sensors on the drivers side of the block(high and low pressure), but don't know which one could be triggering the warning. It's always between 4-5 bar on the pressure guage when this happens depending on engine temps. Anybody ever run into this and what was the cause?
Thanks,
Tom

I agree with your diagnosis. I've never seen them fail this way, but anything's possible. (I've seen them fail by springing leaks.)
I forget the specs and which goes where, but the switches' plastic/phenolic insulated bodies are color coded: one is more or less white and the other is more or less black. If you replace the white with white and the black with black, you'll be fine. Also, don't transpose the wires: keep each wire attached to the switch to which it belongs.
As long as he replaces each switch and its wire one at a time, he'll be fine.

I just had the same problem you are having. Is your oil temp gauge working? My oil warning light was coming on because the wire from my oil temp sender had a brake in it. Check that wire.
