Default Okay... have any of you guys converted the HAA key (ie Switchblade key) found on '96+ A4's for your

older cars?

I have one now and I want to know if there's any way I can put my old AH key in there to have it be the key.

You just need to grind off some off the key and then use a dremel to put a groove on the key so the pin will hold it...

Default Hmm... where could I get that done?

Since I don't have access to a dremel and I wouldn't trust myself to do that.... if I sent it out your way Stephen, could you do it for me?

Obviously you'd need a spare key of mine for my car right?

Default DIY or if you don't have the tools...

you can send it my way...

I just got a new Dremel and a grinder for X-mas so it wouldn't be much of a problem for me...

I'll need:
1 Switch key

1 New metal key(don't send me the oem plastic handled one)

1 Shipping envelope with return postage.

Default okay cool.... So... I need to get a copy of my OEM key from a locksmith.... (more)

So I'll send you:

1) Switchblade key
1) Copied OEM metal key with no plastic
1) Envelope with shipping + return shipping cost

Now I just need you to send me your address.

I'll probably try and get it out to you on Monday and hopefully have it back the following week from you?
