Here's a couple of pictures of my Audi, it is basically an 100 but in South Africa they were called 400 & 500. It is still stock standard except for the gearbox which was changed from automatic to manual.
You will notice that it has what American owners will call - the European headlights, all South African 500se and 500se turbo models came with these lights as standard equipment. It has the 2.2L five cylinder fuel injected engine, and 5-speed manual gearbox.

We did get the quattro but not in the type 44 shape, it was a two door hatchback and it had a 2.1L engine and 5-speed manual gearbox ( I'm not sure what type of Audi it was ), I have never seen one on our roads in real life only in magazines, they were all imported where as the type 44 was build locally.

Hi Paul, no I am not on the ZA Audi forum. I have seen Albie's Audi's though, he have had some great type 44 Audi's.
I don't have much to tell you about my car except for the fact that it is still standard, it's a 1985 model and is in a very good condition. I'm am very fortunate that the previous owner kept the car in a good condition and spended a bunch of money on it and that is why he sold it, at least now I don't have to spend any money on the car because everything that could break have broken and have been fixed by him.
The interior of the car also looks great, and with some dash spray here and there the interior looks almost new again.
So far the only money that I had to spend on it was to have a new clutch slave cylinder, clutch and pressure plate fitted and two new tyres. I am very surprised at the fact that the Audi uses much less fuel than my 1.6L VW Jetta.
I don't know what else to tell you, but feel free to ask me anything about the car that you want.

I am sure that you are very proud of it. It looks flawless, like brand new! I can't tell from the pics, is your car left hand or right hand drive?...........Rooster
