Bentley's shows it in the fuse box,,,,but it's not there and my A/C works,,,so they put it somewhere. On a good note, also picked up a A/C clutch diode jumper form SJC in an effort to finally clear that popping noise from my radio when the compressor cycles. Talked with Scott a bit about the one by Audi and its ridiculous cost and he fabbed a jumper for me to test out....Really cool guy!!!
I still don't know the location of the A/C relay however as it does not seem to be in the fuse box under the hood. Might be under the driver's side knee guard, but if it is which one is it?
I want to install both at once so I don't fry either the relay diodes or the jumper by only using one.
Gotta say I never loved and hated a car so much at the same time.....

What Bentley? If you have the one appropriate for the 200q20v, Vol. 3, Pgs. 529-532 have the fuse and relay panel layouts described. The A/C relay is in the auxiliary relay panel (behind the kneebar below the steering wheel). It's the fourth relay from the left in the middle row of relays.

Guess I didn't read far enough past that for the particular model. Once again I'm not thinking German enough as to why the engineers would feel the need to relocate relays based upon export country, AWD vs. FWD and wagon vs sedan in the same year and series of car built in the same factory. Had to be more complex to wire them that way.

What you have to figure out is that the Bentley is pretty complex and is intended as reference material for folks who attend Audi service training and would know there's a general information category and a technical one.
I was pretty dismayed the first time I looked through a Bentley to try to figure something out for my 4kq. Then I got the two-volume one for the 5ktq. By the time I got the three-volume one for the 200q20v, I kind of understood the thing a little. They're not a Haynes manual.
