Previous diagnosis of no start issue (bad fuel pump relay) I believe has been found to be incorrect. Opened up teh engine and found a bunch of rotted stuff.
Which is the fuel pump relay. . . If you look on the legend on teh lid, it says the the fuel pump is fuse # 13, which when I pulled was okay. There is no fuel pump relay on this thing, correct?

i think, the relay you're talking about is the one with the "circle" on top of it. Looks like it has some spot on it too. I am not 100% sure! My fuel pump relay has an opening for a fuse on top of it - yours doesn't. However, i've seen many times relays that do not have openings for a fuse, so i guess this could be one of them. Again, i'm not 100% sure. Wait until someone who is compltely positive posts/replies and then replace this relay with new or used one.
The one i have is original Audi, made by Bosch in Germany, and it has a number on top of it too - 211.
Part number is 443 951 253 F
You should be able to find one at Junk Yard, dealer or Online, easy to find.
Good luck!
