This is not about bringing back from the dead :-))) Earlier we were talking about f r o n t brakes - but it's done, and now is the time for rear .
So, actually it is not a lot $$, because I would find those carriers in a scrapyard, just would need new 280mm brake discs. But also there was 310x22
rear brake discs on A8/S8, but only on special armoured with Teves braking system.(I understand that this option is more then very rare)
I was thinking about 2B Stage2 Rear 311mm upgrade
http://www.2bennett.com/audi%20brakes.html#v8
but like always it's very hard to deal with them. I what i understood they are using the stock calipers and stock size brake pads !! It means that brake pad contact area with brake disc stays the same, just caliper will be more away from the center of brake disc.... But in the end I have started thinking - is it worth almost 1000$ !?

ding - ding you are correct!. is it really worth it?? The S8 calipers do the exact same thing. just push the caliper away from the center of the hub, pad are the same just a bit more circumfrence in the rotor..
Here in the states early S8's are hard to find in a scrap yard (as well they should be).

V8Q Rear Brakes upgrade
Again :-)
So far I came to the point, that why to do upgrade only into 280mm if it is possible to go till 310mm :-) and gain 41mm instead of 11mm. Then it is really worth it ! For that I need only original carriers from A8 with 310mm brake rotors - calipers stays the same ones.... or not ??????
And what is the difference between Audi V8 and Audi A8/S8 rear calipers ?? only that A8/S8 are made from aluminum ?
Or another option is to buy from http://www.2bennett.com/audi%20brakes.html#v8
only mounting brackets and brake rotors to buy here in Europe, because to ship all kit from USA costs around 500$ plus VAT & tax.... Is very too much expensive! But firs how to know what are the measurments or from which Audi model are those 311mm rotors ????

So what is special in the kit from 2B: RS4 rear brake carriers and custom made brake rotors with brake hats. It means that I was wrong in the beginning with my thinking :-)
