Default Possible Fuel Injector air leak

I have replaced the engine in my '87 5KQ with a used 23K '88 engine. With all of your hekp I now have a nice running car, but, I think my injector seals are worn, creating a vacuum leak. This eng. must have sat for 15 + yrs, possibly allowing the seals to dry, My question, I plan on replacing the large o-ring (with new style green ones) & the small o ring on the lower stem of the injector, I'm leary of removing the plastic shroud & replacing that o ring as it sounds like that can be difficult, I have a rough idle & less than perfect cold start, slight hesitation off idle, if I spray carb cleaner down injector #1 it starts to stall, idle is now @ 1000rpm, removing oil cap DOES NOT stall engine.Everything else checks OK. does anyone think I have to replace all 3 o rings, seems like I should get new plastic shrouds just in case one were to break if I do pull them

Default I would do just the two on the injector itself. Sounds like you've got the job covered...

use plenty of gas for lube when you put the new o-rings on and good luck!

Default The thing i dont understand about the install is how do the lines come off?

if i knew how to get the lines back and nobody wants them i might end up putting them in my car.

Default rust never sleeps

the lines have a flange nut that should spin while the line stays in place, over time this rusts & makes it a pita, injectors can be pulled without removing lines, if there that rusty might be time for new lines!

OK, thanks jurq, just didn't want to hear," you went that far & didn't replace..." when I still have problems, lol. I do think seals are dried out & this will improve symptoms
