Default power steering hose on V8

hey everyone i took the advice of fellow members and had my pump to rack hose repaired at hydraulic shop, $50 to repair leaking hose, but now i can't seem to get it back on. The end at the rack at the firewall, not enough room to get the bolt threaded. do i have to remove the metal brake lines to gain more access, or am i just missing something. any insight appreciated. It's a 90 V8. Thanks.

Default its hard to do. period. take your time and you'll get it.

check very closely the angle that you're putting it on at and the alignment. it'll work. i did it but its not easy. congrats on the cheap rebuild.

Heck yeah it is, ok, i wish i had smaller hands, i even had my 9 month pregnant wife try to stick her hands in ther. As long as i know someone did it, i can spend the next 3 days trying to get that damn bolt on. Thanks for the advice.

here's how i did it. I put the bolt completely through the banjo ring first and then tried threading it in. I used my left hand to hold the hose and twist the hose and turn it as necessary. move it up/down, forward/backward, etc. also for reference, i took just the bolt and put it in to look at the angle and placement of it. it took me longer to put the hose on then it did to take it off and get it rebuilt.

Default Thanks 20vturbo, i got the damn hose on.

Once i got half a thread, i slowly started turning it to get it on. i used a stubby gearwrench to get it on from there. thanks again for the help.
