Default Power window problem, any suggestions?

I have a 1990 V8 Quattro and Ive had this weird (Im assuming typical) problem with my windows. I can roll down every window in my car from the drivers side switch panel, but Im having a problem rolling down the back windows using the switches on the back doors. I had a problem with the front passenger window and I replaced the front passengers switch and that seemed to have fixed that door. I bought extra switches and tried them on my back doors and it doesnt seem to fix the problem. Like I said, I can roll down the back windows from the drivers door but cannot roll them down from the back switches. Also, the back switches do not light up, even with the new switches that I bought. All of the of other switches in the vehicle light up. Can anyone help me?!?

If neither of the rear window switches work in the rear, I'd suspect that the "safety switch" on the master control panel is either "on" or has failed. (you know the one I'm referring to, the "kiddie switch")

Default Thats a possibility..

Ive tried messing with that switch and it doesnt matter whether thats up or down, it still does not work. Also, the front passenger window is not affected by the "kiddie switch," is that normal?

Default That may be the problem...

Would that also cause the light on switches not to work?

I did not try that. Which wire should have 12 volts? I also looked in the fuse panel and didnt find a fuse for the power windows AT ALL.
