q? - clicking sound behind dash

There's a strange clicking sound coming from behind the dash, on the left side. It sounds similar to the tick of the turning indicator, but much more erratic.
Possibly related: the water temp guage has been displaying cooler operating temperature than normal. This may be because it's not as warm outside, but not likely.
Anybody experienced this before?

Which one? Who knows. There's a couple of possibilities down there.
I'd look at the ISV control relay, etc...
BTW, the seat heater relay is notorious for clicking. Do you have seat heaters? Does the clicking happen when they're on?

is to touch the relays when you hear the noise. You will actually be able to feel to the touch which relay is acting up, then remove it temporarily to prove to yourself that you have found the bad one. Best to replace it before it totally fails......
