QLCC chip and 2bar WG spring installed. Questions
Got both installed just fine, no troubles, but now comes the question stage. How much boost should I be seeing with these? I took the car for a drive and was impressed to see the boost gauge to past 4psi, yay! After driving for a short while I would get an intermittent CEL coming on when on the throttle lightly or when I was on the boost hard.
In 2nd gear I was seeing 14-15psi, which seems high, I thought the QLCC was only for 12psi? Does the WG spring have something to do here? Newb questions, yes! Im new at the turbo game, as well as this kind of stuff. In 3rd and 4th gear I was seeing consistent 14psi readings.
On the way home I took the highway. In 5th gear around 70mph anytime I would try just to accellerate the slightest I would get a CEL (mind you, i wasnt boosting at all). So I got home and pulled the fault codes, I only get one, 2142, knock sensor. How much are the knock sensors? Anybody got one?
Thoughts?

Are your sure your MFTS is good? I had CEL under hard pulls when my MFTS was bad
and that the temp on the instrument cluster is working does not necessary mean that MFTS is ok.

If you have a 2.0bar spring and QLCC then you are staying shy of 14.5 psi
Otherwise you'd be hitting the fuel cut at 1.95 bar. The spring will over ride the QLCC boost control to some degree so if the QLCC 1.8 bar ECU is pared with a 1.8 bar spring then you will be seeing the 1.8 bar of boost. Pair it with a stronger spring and you will see the spring value take hold.
You should have been seeing 5-7 psi with the stock ECU/spring.
The knock sensor is probably indicative that you need to play some tricks with the fuel. Did you ge a knock code under boost with the stock ECU?

code is for a failed sensor not for excessive knock.
2142 (Blink Fault Code), VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number 00524 Knock sensor #1 Open or short circuit, Defective sensor Check sensor and wiring Symptom: Timing retarded, High fuel consumption, power loss, Boost pressure not attained
