rear speakers not working

my rear speakers around working. i've checked the connection to the speaker itself. its working fine. i need to see if its getting power. are there any connections that need to be checked for continuity? there are some plugs under the rear seats .. anything to do w/ the speakers?

is this the bose system with rear 6x9s?
if so, make sure the external amps are not leaking! they are prone to catch fire when they fail, and Audi sent out a service bulletin about this.
if everything seems to be in order, i have seen the rear audi 200 6x9s on ebay from time to time and perhaps you might be able to pick a set up.

On my '87 5000, there is a fuse under the rear seat that controls the rear amp & speakers that i blew working on my power antenna. Check yours if fitted - long red wire with white plastic twist off connector if I remember.....
