Replaced MFTS and coolant light is gone but>>

The gauge reads really low. Was onthe highway for 20 miles and it moved a few notches. When sitting in traffic the gauge was normal at about 12 oclock. Thining the thermostat might be bad. Any feedback would be cool.

Yup. Thermostat. Test it by placing in a pot of heated water with thermometer.

If you changed from a 4-pin VDO to a 3-pin Behr MFTS..........

I've heard they read a little cooler on the guage. I don't know this as fact though.

What happened when in boiling water? Ohm meter should show change? I found a 4 pin..

in the junk yard because my new 3 pin was iffy. The reading in temp did't show any dif when hot. Still have idling and low rpm running probs that my be tied to not getting power to the ISV. But I will wait till it warms up outside to really get into it.
