REplacing Fuel Pressure Regulator

Hey, I just changed the regulator on my 100cs. I didn't need to undo and fuel lines. I do suggest that you unscrew the fuel cap to releive as much pressure in the tank as possible. You may want to unscrew the return line from the fuel rail as well. I don't know about the V8's but my regulator plugs into the fuel rail. It was hard to get out of the spot it plugged into. I used a small eyeglasses flathead screwdriver to gently pry it out. Once it came out very little gas came out of the fuel rail area. When I put it back in it was very hard at first until I used the screwdriver as leverage. I put the point of the screwdriver on the manifold and pushed it backwards back on the regulator to leverage it back into the housing. Looking at the v8 regulator they could be totally differant. I just wanted to give you my experience on my regulator install. Below is a link from a fellow V8 owner on how to install the FPR (it includes pictures).

FPR install Instructions

It is an easy fix, about 5-10 mintues, but the main thing is to relieve the fuel pressure in the system, before disconnecting the supply line from the old FPR. I lost about a pint of fuel by not doing so when I changed mine out....
