On another '90 200 TQ,
The hose that connects the power steering pump to the wall of the car (not sure what part is there), the rubber hose popped out of the metal end that connects to the wall in front (outside) of where the driver sits. Looks like an impossible job to do.
Has anyone replaced this particular hose ? I am thinking of going to the junk yard to try on one.
Thanks

that connect to the pump. From your description, I can't exactly tell which hose you are talking about. Two hoses conncet to the rack very close to one another. To pull those hoses from the rack requires something like a wierd 20MM socket. I didn't have one, but found that an SAE 3/4" socket fit just fine. Take some paper towels to dry off the Petosin that will get on the outside of the hoses. It is very helpful to remove the overflow container from the firewall to gain access to the hoses at the rack. The bolts are not on that tight, but you will do some stretching to get a wrench down on the rack........Good luck.........Rooster

There are two types of hose one using o-rings and the other using crush washers. A gear wrench is a nice tool to have for this job.
Forget the junk yard and buy a new hose. If you think this is difficult to remove, then why do it twice??
