Default reverse clutch bleeding help please

I jist bought a new pressure type oil can, do you simply fill it, secure line to it and slave, open bleeder and start pumping the can until air comes up through resevoir?

Not sure what you're trying to do. Most people add pressure to the brake fluid reservoir, and bleed fluid down through the nipple on the slave.

If you're trying to bleed uphill to the reservoir, it will work, but you're pushing any old/bad fluid up through the system to the reservoir, where it mixes with the fluid used at the brake master cylinder. Not sure you'd want that. Either way: don't bleed air into the system or you'll have to start over, as air compresses easily, unlike the fluid.

Thanks CJMiller, at some point I read here including a picture of this small oil can with a pump handle and the person suggected filling it with fluid, securing both ends of the hose and back bleedng, and said it was the best way to bleed the clutch. I bought the tool and haven't attempted it yet for fear of making it worse. I dont have access to the pressure bleeder but wonder if gravity will work? Michael

Default yeah its a good method

just fill the can, pump it until there is no air in your line formt he can, connect it to the bleeder, loosen the bleeder, pump pump pump...

close bleeder, check clutch pedal.

Thata all there is to it, but beware air tends to get stuck in there so you might end up doing it a couple times before you are satisfied.
