My right rear caliper is dragging causing heat and burning smell. The wheel is very warm to the touch after short jaunts. The last time I replaced rear pads I noticed the right pads were gone and the left looked fairly new. I blamed this on crappy E brake cables, especially on the right. The right caliper ebrake cam wasn't moving that well and the both pistons were extemely difficult to retract. I lubed the cam and installed new ebrake cables and all was well for a month or two. But now I'm dragging the RR badly. I dont know if the hose could be bad or not. The hexagonal part of the pistons are competely worn out making piston retraction difficult(needed vise grips and c-clamp with extreme force to retract). Am I in need of some new rear calipers and hoses???????

e-brake froze didn't realize it and I fried both back rear calipers, had to get the entire rear brake setup replaced, calipers, rotors brake lines, e-brake cables, sucked.

allowing dirt, water, and crud to form corrosion on the bore of the caliper. Sure the e-brake could be hanging up as well, but I bet it you have a bad caliper.
I had the same problem on my '86 last year.

Sounds like your brake caliper piston probably is corroded from a bad seal. Take it off and take it apart to determine whether it can be saved.
For turning back the pistons on rear brakes there's nothing better than one of these:<ul><li><a href="http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/AP-7860.html">Brake Tool</a></li></ul>
