Should I bother updating the rear stock brakes...
on my '89 200TQ? I understand the Avant had larger rear brakes for trailering and I've acquired a few of the parts needed for the update but wondered if it was worth it.
Opinions would be great.
Thanks,
Steve

IMO anytime you can improve braking for not a lot of money it is worth it.
BTW, the brakes that you reffering to are also found on the 200 20V, V8, UrS4, UrS6 all the way to 1995. So Audi thought it was a "good idea" too..

Steve,
If parts are readily available, yes! Especially if they're free, or cheap!)
Have owned numerous type 44's, the rear rotors NEVER wear properly (solid roters). The vented rotors seem to do last better IMHO.
