Sick V8

My V8 has been acting up for a while now, initially i thought it was the o2 sensor. had that replaced, and problem has gotten worse since then.
She starts up cold fine, but as soon as my oil temp. gauge gets a hair over 60, the engine sputters and loses power.
i could give it a little gas and work through it, if i kept the RPMs above 3000 it wouldn't die out. now the problem has gotten progressivly worse. its hard to keep her running at all now when she's at this point.
i used to be able to work through the sputtering, and as soon as the engine warmed up all the way the problem disapeared and she ran like a champ, 20-25 MPG at cruising speed. (with the weather in western mi. right now, she doesn't warm up past the problem point and is impossible to drive.)
i'm thinking it's either:
A. the fpr
B. the fuel pump (has been hissing since i got her in aug.)
C. unrelated to fuel (sensor)
any thoughts?
also, if checking fuel pressure is the next step, does this require any special tools? and what is the degree of difficulty doing that.

In this pic of my 3.6 motor if you look @ the crank pully & let your eye's wander past the water pump...rite above it, (that Black thing) is the throttle sensor.
See it?

^ Is this the sensor you're talking about?
Cleaned MAF today and the problem is still there; will sit and idle all day in my driveway after i work her through hesitation for a bit, but once on the road she goes in between running fine and dying out.
If my MAF is damaged how would i know? i don't know what they're supposed to look like.
Should I bother having the fuel pressure checked or should i try to find a new throttle sensor now?
