Well its been a while since I first posted about my slow to start problem (when cold). Symptoms are almost all the time the car takes anywhere from 5-10 seconds of cranking until it finally fires up. Giving throttle during cranking or allowing extra fuel pump prime time does not seem to make any difference.
With winter here and very cold mornings being plenty, I have noticed something very wierd. Fearing that the car wouldn't start at all, I am contantly observing the complete opposite.
When starting the car after a long cold night, with morning temperatures roughly -5 deg F, the car starts up after 1 crank, sometimes even quicker. This is something that happens consistantly.
Any ideas what could cause this?

the problem is either:
A. injectors leaking
B. pressure regulator in fuel dist. leaking
C. checkvalve on fuelpump leaking.
Anyways, when its cold out, the car hits the cold start valve so it gets fuel with minimal fuel pressure. therefore it starts fast, becuase it doesnt need to hit 60ish PSI before the injectors crack.

Try putting the fuse in the FP relay. Then turn the ignition to the ON position for 10 seconds. Now try and start the car. If it fires up you have leakdown issues.
Check valve, injectors, accumulator, leaking fuel lines.
