I go to my 89 100 at on break to get my lunch I unlock the doors and the alarm starts to go off. I fogure, k thats strange, IT WONT GO OFF!!! I turn the key multiple times in both doors, so much so that I think I did something to the tumbler on the drivers side. Any ways the only way that after 45 min I am able to stop it is to disconnect the battery cable. It stops(duh). Now I reconnect the cable and the car starts, I figure cool it was a fluke. So I go back into work and go to leave at lunch , opened the door (which wasnt locked) and the alarm goes off. Wont stop same deal as before. Battery, reconnect it starts. Go get gas and go to get out of the car, alarm goes off. Now im agitated. Same drill disconnect, reconnect. Car starts. taking a look at things I noticed that the drivers side lock thing(the thing us push down and pull up) seems to not go down all the way I push down and it and it pushes itself back up. What is going on? The other strange thing I noticed is that ya know how when ya lock the doors it makes that short beep to let you know theft is on, well now it does that when I turn the key. Ialready figured im going to have to pull the door apart to see if I can see what the thing is getting hung up on, but can and if so how do I eliminate the teft system or cant I and can anyone offer any suggestions to help because I tired of the disconnect, reconnect to start drill. ---Thanks -Justin

it might be your alarm relay, or the door switch on the body that tells the system when the door is closed or open, check for short.
