this could mess up the timing and screw things up enough the car wouldnt start giving me a code 2113- hall sender in distributor, distributor alignment, faulty sender, mislocated sensor and distributor...
or is this separate from my water pump failing issue? i have stopped driving the car because i dont want the timing belt to snap obviously.. so dont yell at me for driving around with that squealing.
i am too busy to do the work myself right now so i just had it towed. i guess the shop will tell me what the deal is. just wanted to know your opinions..
and off she goes!<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/47556/august30_003.jpg">

The only way I could see that the WP/TBelt would impact your cam/dizzy timing would be a situation where your TBelt has slipped/jumped.
Odds are low (not imposs) that your cam gear is no longer alligned with the woodruff key...
If everything was fine, and all of a sudden you get a no-start then I'd check the cam poz, once the bottom of the motor is at TDC - FIRST!
Your mechanic will probably do it...

there is lots of parts cars around but i gotta go ask people if they mind me taking theres so there's will never start and if they will let that go without the rest of the car (a sh*tload of old type44's sitting all over the valley here i live in, but people usually wanna sell em about 400-1000 bux a car. some for free like my red wagon and my current car i rescued and restored for a bargain price of 350 bux... but i'll figuere it out. hopefully not dizzy though.

Mine is in the shop with similar issues. Please post your mechanics findings and I'll post mine's diagnosis too. It will be interesting to see what path they take to solving the problem.

So far he has determined that:
> Car is easily capeable of 2.0 bar boost - bypassed the WG solenoid.
> Injectors checked out OK
> Compression/Leakdown indicates a weakened 5th cylinder - no biggie - yet
More to come....
