If you haven't checked the bypass valve yet that may be the problem. With a mity vac see if it holds vac from the nipple where the vac hose connects. Alternatively if you do not have a mity vac or hand held vacuum pump you can remove the BPV and push the piston up from the bottom port and put a finger over the nipple to see if holds vac. Crankcase breather hose good? Check for fault codes too. I assume that your voltage regulator is good IE not running low voltage on the gauge? http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl.../20vboost.html

Okay so now im having some troubles... i like the new bov and the sound but im thinking theres something wrong with the set up.. The car is now running really rich, it will not get out of its own way in boost, and its pooping out large clouds of black smoke when boosting. Maybe the bov screw is too loose? Im thinking of just switching back to a stock style valve. Whats a good replacement for the stock bosch valve?

Search Bosch Turbo Bypass Valve for Audi Porsche VW Diverter on ebay the seller's name is amizo1 they sell a metal valve BPV that uses 0-rings instead of a diaphragm. At the moment the seller doesn't have any list check in a few days.
Your rich running could be caused by a large air leak after the MAF thus making it run rich. Check your fault codes.

I ordered the bypass valve from amizo1 yesterday so hopefully ill have it by mid next week. I cant seem to find any leaks after the maf other than my bad bypass valve not holding vaccuum as i put it back on the car cause it runs better than with the bov. I did find a tear in route to my crankcase breather but i replaced it. I can not check my codes cause my CEL has either burned out or been removed :/ it doesnt come on when i turn the key to the on position. Is there anywhere in northern colorado that can scan it?
