Steering wheel fore / aft play?
I just replaced my car's rack. I think that I still don't have the lower steering column coupled just right to the rack's splined steering shaft. One hint is that my turn signals no longer self-cancel.
I've learned that the steering wheel is "spring loaded".
When seated in the driver's seat, how much should the steering wheel move forward when one pushes forward on the steering wheel? Should there be any forward movement? If so, how much? How much does *your* 5000's steering wheel move forward when pressed?
Thanks.

finally got it right: almost no play.
The third time was a charm. Re-did it today. It was a two man job - my friend pressed on the steering wheel while I cajoled, tapped, and fidgeted the coupler over the rack spline and tightened the bolt. The turn signals now self-cancel and the horn . . .well . . . blows.
