Hi all,

The key won't turn the ignition - is sticky, need to rattle it around, take it in and out, and finally, after much swearing, it will finally turn and can start the car.

My wife is about to kill me unless I get this fixed. What's the solution here? Her key is slightly bent, but I have the problem with my key too, although not as frequently - this leads me to believe the bent key is not the only problem. So, do I have the replace the lock cylinder or something?

Common problem. Either replace the lock cylinder, or install a starter button.

Does chaning the ignition cyclinder mean we'll need new keys, or does it keep the old keys?

New lock cylinder will come with new keys. You'll need to keep your old key for the door locks. I'd replace the ignition switch too while your at it.
