Default Then Jah invented the 200

Well, I have just had the chance to drive my first 200, after driving 100s for the past couple years. Life changing, hmmmm, the first time I changed from 2nd to 3rd and again from 3rd to 4th brought a smile I haven't had for 20 + years. Never even had to open it up, to feel the power of this unchipped 1989 tq exclusive and deep down I know I can't go back to my baby, waiting, feet up in the drive. I have 3 100's and 1 of them I love more than any car I have ever owned (except the pushbutton Ap5 Valiant), damm life is tough. The 200 tq is for sale and I will doing everything possible to buy it, but I wish someone had expressed that awesome power the turbo unleashes earlier ....

I've never driven an N/A one before. Are they really that slow? I like the way the turbo drives. Mine is not modified so it's not that quick around town BUT, on the highway it's great. It's like all of a sudden I'm driving a different car. These things have a split personality. Of course I have a K26 which has much turbo lag vs the 89 you drove probably had a K24 which to my understanding has much less lag. Wait till you have the opportunity to set the cruise at 100mph. Good luck on your new purchase!

No the 100 wasn't slow, even though auto, still comfortably sit at 80-90 mph all day and strong up the hills, but as you know this baby is different league all together.

Default Bug... what bug? Me? Bug? Where?... don't worry... you'll be fine... really... you'll get this

little thought in your head... it starts small, but it grows and grows... before you know it you start to wonder... geez... for only a few hundred bucks I could slap another 60 HP on this baby... damn... that would be really sweet. After that you start to think... damn... 60 hp really adds a LOT... where can I get more?

But seriously, that thought - its really easy to dismiss, I swear (cough cough hack wheeze cough sneeze cough).

Don't go drive a 20-valve turbo then. The difference between that and the 10-valve is as dramatic as the difference between the 10-valve and the NA models.

I remember the first time I drove a turbo vehicle. The boost kicking in just makes you grin. Youll be smiling in the car on an on-ramp and someone in your car will say, what are you smiling about? When that happens you know the bug has bit you

Default lol.. I said that after I parted my black 4kq.

Which I was going to put this 20v motor into.. after many discussions Im not raping this 3b out of this nice car.,, but anyways.. one other main reason i got rid of the 4kq project. I was like, bah I cant afford to race or put money into my cars with a house purchase looming in the future. Well guess what, this 200 is starting to make me want to spend again!! Get on the boost on the freeway, im thinking 'damn theres a lot more potential'!! Im on the edge I swear.

Default Go for it... get a garret gt2871 kit from Javad... get some 3.0 software... new injectors...

hell, it *only* costs $3,000 or so total... who doesn't have that laying around?

Oh... but think of the power... nearly 400 HP

...then comes the intercooler... clutch... brakes to stop it... new hoses...
