Is there a market for 5KTQ parts?
A friend of mine is selling his. It would need a lot of mechaical work to get it up to snuff. It runs but has some CIS issues and he sold a few parts anyways.
I originally wanted the 7 Fuch's he had for my CQ and I figured I could nab a few other parts here and there too. He'll sell me the whole thing for $100 more than he wants for the wheels alone.
But, I don't want the rest of it hanging around. Since I'm a B3 guy, I don't know if there's a market to unload the rest of it.
Should I buy it?

Speaking from experience...
There is and there isn't...some of the stuff will sell quickly. Other stuff you will sit on for awhile or possibly forever.
Justification on buying it all comes down to how low mileage the engine is, what the interior is like, etc, etc. It's easier for me because I know some of the stuff I can use on my personal type44 cars if it doesn't sell.
You've been around the block so you know what the deal is with used Audi's. I say buy it if you can get a smoking good deal and have a place to store/part it. Otherwise pass.

I would like
The Fuchs and wouldn't mind having a spare tranny and diff. I would probably snag the bubs/brackets for another car. The price is right. Like I said he wants only $100 for the rest of the car past what he's asking for the wheels alone.
I do have space, but would rather not have a(nother) boat anchor taking it up.

The body is actually perfect and the interior is great. The only thing missing right now is the drivers door switch module and the gauge cluster. One front bumper side trim piece broke recently, and the passenger front fender has a ding. But, no rust and it only has 109k on the chassis/motor.
I already even have a bunch of 5k parts from a different deal. No matter how much space you have, you always seem to fill it up.
Ok, I think I'll buy it. Geez...I have a disease I think. And now I have yet another forum to check on. Ha!

I'll take the front shafts if they are fairly new...
Market? Tough to tell with these cars now. Sometimes the market seems to have all but dried up... then a new batch of folks discovers them.
I also need some door handle trigger parts if it is an '88 or older.

I'll probably pick it up the beginning of next week.
I've got another B4 90 to go get, and it looks like 2 more CQ's will be coming it at some point in time too.
